"Revealing true value and a fresh perspective, based on character, form, and nature."
Artist Statement
I am a fine art photographer who partners with clients to reveal the hidden beauty in the human face and form. Through unique, one-of-a-kind portraits, I offer both my clients and viewers a new way of seeing — not just a likeness, but a story.
Too often, people move through life overlooking the quiet, captivating beauty around them — and within the people they know best. My work exists to interrupt that oversight: to slow down, look closely, and uncover the countless untold stories held in a single face, a single moment.
Each portrait is a collaboration — an invitation for my subject to be seen freshly, honestly, and with intention. The result is a fine art piece that isn’t just a photograph, but a lasting, tangible piece of someone’s story — one they can take home and call their own.
Personal Vision Statement
Rebekah McReynolds believes the world is full of beauty hidden in plain sight — waiting to be seen, honored, and remembered. Her vision is to reveal that beauty through fine art photography: to take what is hidden, overlooked, forgotten, or dismissed as ordinary, and restore it to its rightful place in the light.
Raised across two continents with deep Southern roots, Rebekah learned early that every person, structure, and moment carries a story beneath the surface. She envisions a body of work that continues to excavate those hidden stories — through portraits that reveal the true character of the people before her lens, architecture that holds the memory of the hands that built it, and lifestyle imagery that captures life as it is truly lived, not staged. Across each, she uses dark, moody tones and breathtaking, whimsical light to illuminate essence over appearance.
Her goal is not simply to document what exists, but to transform how it is seen — bringing an ethereal, intriguing, and edgy perspective to the nostalgia and fleeting nature of the people, places, and everyday moments around us. Through this work, Rebekah hopes to give lasting form to what is passing, and lasting value to what is often overlooked.
Artist Biography
I was born and raised in Louisiana, lived in Mexico for three years, and now reside in central Texas, with the privilege of many travels over the years. My life and experiences have given me a unique way of seeing — one that allows me to find the hidden value, character, and treasure present in all things in our world. In truth, I have been photographing all my life, even before I ever owned a camera, for in my own way of seeing I have always found new rhythms of art. Throughout my life, photography has been a constant that has taught me to slow down, truly see, and listen to what the world around me has to say.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco. Through my studies and personal work, photography is the vehicle I use to capture and create my vision, so that others may also be transformed through a new way of seeing. Photography has always been a passion for me — a form of artistic communication that connects me to the world and people around me, and expresses the importance of finding value in everything.
